Question 1

How are window films installed?

Accepted Answer

Installed by Justice Nguyen, our certified professional with training from the Window Tinting Business School and certification as a Solar Control Specialist through the IWFA. The film is custom-cut to fit your windows and typically applied to the inside of the glass. After installation, the film needs time to cure (a few days depending on weather, glass type, and product).

Question 2

Where can window film be installed?

Accepted Answer

Window film can be installed on sliding glass doors, skylights, large windows and small French panes. We cut each film to fit any shape or size of flat glass. It's also safe for dual-pane windows and most types of low-e glass. Some films are better suited for certain situations. Contact us for product recommendations compatible with your type of windows or glass.

How do I choose the right film?

Accepted Answer

We help you address common challenges: Heat Reduction, Protection (furnishings), Glare Reduction, Privacy, Aesthetics and Design, Safety and Security. Contact us for a consultation.

Question 7

Does window film make a space darker?

Accepted Answer

Not unless you want it to. Filmed windows can actually be brighter. Choose a clearer film for solar control with no change in appearance; reflective or darkly tinted for privacy; decorative film for privacy with style.

Question 8

Can window film help save energy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. According to U.S. Department of Energy statistics, solar heat gain through windows is responsible for about one third of a building's cooling costs. Window film that reduces solar heat gain can relieve overworked cooling systems. Many window film projects produce a return on investment in just 3 to 5 years.

Question 9

Does window film help protect against fading?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Solar control window film blocks 99% of ultraviolet (UV) rays, a large contributor to fading. Solar film also tempers the sun's hot infrared (IR) rays and visible light. The amount of protection you get is determined by the type of film you select.

Question 10

Does window film reduce glare on screens?

Accepted Answer

Yes; the darker the tint, the more glare reduction.

Question 11

Can window film protect glass in extreme weather?

Accepted Answer

Yes; safety and security film helps hold broken glass together, reducing injury risk from shattered glass during storms or impacts.

Question 12

Do you offer a warranty?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every automotive film we install comes with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty, and so do most of our residential and commercial films. We'll confirm the warranty for the film you choose when we quote.

Question 13

Can window film be removed later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Window film can be removed at any time after installation without damaging the glass, even after years (the exception is sacrificial anti-graffiti film). Removal is a tough, messy job that isn't recommended for beginners, so please call us if you need film taken off a vehicle or building.

Question 14

What are some benefits of auto window tinting?

Accepted Answer

Car window films can not only provide a sleek aesthetic to your car, but they also provide a level of protection for you and your interior against harmful UV rays.

Question 15

How much does a car window tint cost?

Accepted Answer

The price of your service will vary depending on your film, your service, and your vehicle. Call (774) 314-2545 for a free estimate.

Question 16

How long does it take to tint my vehicle?

Accepted Answer

The amount of time varies, depending on your type of vehicle. A two-door car usually takes 2 to 3 hours, and a full car or a full-size truck can take up to 6 hours. A set of front doors usually takes about an hour, depending on the vehicle. If old aftermarket film has to be removed, that can add anywhere from 30 minutes to half a day. Feel free to stay in our waiting room!

Question 17

Do I need to leave my car, or can I wait while it's being tinted?

Accepted Answer

You're welcome to wait in our comfortable waiting room while we work on your vehicle. We offer complimentary coffee and free Wi-Fi for your convenience.

Question 18

When can I roll my windows down after tinting?

Accepted Answer

Keep your windows rolled up for 24 to 48 hours after installation so the film can adhere. It fully cures within about a week.

Question 19

Will there be bubbles in my tint?

Accepted Answer

Small bubbles or a hazy appearance right after installation are normal and will disappear as the film cures, within about a week.

Question 20

Can I have tint installed over the factory tinted glass?

Accepted Answer

Yes you can. We can install window film directly on the factory tinted glass making it darker. The factory tinted glass is a pigment in the glass giving its color. Aftermarket window film has many more solar benefits than factory window tint. Factory tint only rejects part of the UV rays, and only rejects a small amount of heat. Aftermarket window film rejects 99% of ultraviolet rays and between 35%–60% of heat, depending on the film level used. In addition to these benefits, darkening factory tinted glass will give you more privacy for storing your personal items in the back of the vehicle.

Question 21

Do you offer warranties on automotive window film?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every automotive film we install — carbon and ceramic — comes with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty.
