The same view, through bare glass and through film

In this single frame the left pane is still bare glass while the right pane already carries solar control film — the same sky and the same parking lot, at the same moment. What you can see is the glare and brightness the film cuts; the UV it blocks is invisible in a photograph.

A storefront window with two panes side by side: the left pane is bare glass showing a bright sky and parking lot, and the right pane, covered with solar control film, shows the same view noticeably darker.

Choosing solar control film

What does it block?

It blocks 99% of UV rays and reduces the sun's heat and glare. Glare is visible light you can see drop in a photo; UV is invisible, so the UV figure is a property of the film, not something a photo can show.

Can it add privacy?

Yes. One-way solar film lets you see out while making it harder to see in during the day.

Does it help in winter?

Some films have insulating properties that help keep heat in during colder seasons. Savings depend on your glass, overhangs, climate, and energy rates.

How it works

  1. Tell us about the windows and what you want to change — by phone, email, or the quote form.
  2. We schedule a day to come to you, look at the glass, and give you a free estimate.
  3. To book the installation, residential and commercial projects need a deposit of half the project total (Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, cash, or check). The deposit is non-refundable.
  4. We install on site: the film is custom-cut to your windows and usually applied to the inside of the glass. It then takes a few days to fully cure, depending on the weather, the glass, and the film.

Confirmed at your quote
